Montana Board of Nursing

Medical Assistance Program

The Medical Assistance Program (MAP) for Nurses is provided to assist the Board of Nursing in protecting the public and to offer support and intervention to licensees diagnosed with a substance use disorder, mental health illness or other chronic or physical illness which impairs practice. This program provides statewide professional assistance in identification, intervention, referral, and monitoring. The program's goal is to ensure safe care throughout Montana by providing direct assistance to licensees with impairment issues.  The program is open to all licensees of the Board of Nursing.

For more information, contact MAP at 406-841-2100 or send an e-mail to mapinfo@mt.gov. You are also encouraged to visit their website at map.mt.gov.
