License Requirements & Application Checklist

Application Fee:
All fees are non-refundable $50.00
Education Requirements:
Pass a Department approved firearms training course
Experience Requirements:
Meets qualification of licensure as a Private Security Guard or Private Investigator
Renewal Period:
January 1st through March 1st
Renewal Fee:
$50.00 Late Renewal $100.00
Continuing Education Requirements:
Re-qualify annually with a firearms instructor that has been approved by the Department.
Other Special License Requirements:
Applicant must be currently licensed in good standing as a Private Security Guard. Applicant must be currently licensed in good standing as a Private Investigator.
