Nutritionists

A Nutritionist is defined by Montana statute as an individual licensed by the Board of Medical Examiners under Montana law or a person who has satisfactorily completed a baccalaureate, master’s, or  doctorate degree in the field of dietetics, food and nutrition, or public health nutrition conferred by an accredited college or university.

HB 806, which passed during the 2025 Legislative Session creates a Dietitian License type. The Board is engaged in administrative rulemaking to implement the legislation. Following rulemaking, the online application will be built.
