37-25-310 MCA License Qualification for Dietitians and Nutritionists

HB 806, which was enacted following the 2025 Legislative Session, creates a Dietitian License type. The Board has completed administrative rulemaking to implement the legislation and the online application is under construction. 

The Board is not currently issuing dietitian licenses under the bill. The board continues to issue nutritionist licenses to applicants who have an active CDR (Certificate of Dietetic Registration). Individuals licensed as nutritionists as of 10/1/2025 and holding CDR Certification will ultimately be converted to a dietitian license type. Applicants without a CDR will be notified when both the new dietitian and new nutritionist applications are available.
