All licenses must be renewed on or before their renewal date. Late renewals require an additional late fee for each missed year. Suspended licenses must still be renewed.

The renewal period for each license type opens two months before its renewal date. All licenses for this board renew annually.

Renewal dates

  • Athletic Trainer: August 31
  • Occupational Therapist: June 15
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant: June 15
  • Physical Therapist: April 1
  • Physical Therapist Assistant: April 1
  • Limited Speech-Language Pathologist: (not renewable)
  • Speech-Language Pathologist: February 1
  • Speech-Language Pathology Assistant: February 1
  • Audiologist: February 1
  • Audiology Assistant: February 1
  • Speech-Language Pathologist-Audiologist (dual): February 1

Licenses not renewed on time are considered lapsed for 45 days after the renewal date, during which time the licensee may still practice. After 45 days, the license is expired, and the licensee may not practice.

Lapsed and expired licenses may be renewed up to two years past the renewal date. After two years, the license terminates and may not be renewed.

A new application may not be submitted if there is an existing license that is not terminated.
