License Information

The board offers the following license types:

  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
    • and Candidate (PCLC)
  • Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW)
    • and Candidate (SWLB)
  • Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW)
    • and Candidate (SWLM)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • and Candidate (SWLC)
  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • and Candidate (MFLC)
  • Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)
    • and Candidate (ACLC)
  • Certified Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist (CBHPSS)
  • (coming soon) Certified Family Peer Support Specialist

Renewals

The renewal period for addiction counseling licenses (LAC and ACLC) is May 2–June 30 each year. For all other licenses, it is November 1–December 31.

Licenses expire at the end of the last day of their renewal period, but late renewal is still possible for 45 days after this with a late fee.
