The following outlines general licensing information. For specific information on filing an application, you will need to obtain the Application which includes a detailed listing of the requirements.

Application Fee:
$200.00. All Fees are Non-Refundable
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in environmental health or equivalent from an accredited college or university. Evaluation for equivalency is a case by case process but begins with 45 quarter hours or 30 semester hours in the physical and biological health sciences with specific courses in biology, chemistry and microbiology.
Examination Information:
Approved applicants take the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) Registered Sanitarian examination which is administered by Pearson Vue.
Other Special Licensing Requirements:

Must be supervised by a Montana fully licensed sanitarian. Can only be registered for 1 year, then must become licensed sanitarian.
