The following outlines general licensing information. For specific information on filing an application, you will need to obtain the license application which includes a detailed listing of the requirements.

Application Fee:
$100.00 - All Fees are Non-Refundable
Education Requirements:
(i) High school or the equivalent; and
(ii) A respiratory care educational program accredited or provisionally accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care
Examination Information:
Please contact the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) for exam dates and prerequisites.
Renewal Period:
March 3 - May 1
Late Renew Online for 45 days until June 16
Renewal Fee:
Active and Late $75 / Inactive $50
Continuing Education Requirements:
24 hours May 1 even numbered years (biennially) completed in the preceding 24 months. One continuing education unit (ce unit) is equivalent to 50 minutes in length.
Other Special License Requirements:
Copy of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certificate is required.
