Apply for Emergency Care Provider Program
ECP Licensure
In Montana, Emergency Care Providers must hold a license in order to practice. License types include the following:
- Emergency Medical Responders (EMR)
- Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)
- Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMT)
- Paramedics
If you seek information about EMS SERVICES (i.e. Ambulance Service) please contact the EMS and Trauma Systems Section of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.
The qualifications for licensure are included in the application checklist and you may apply online with the online application process.
Applying Online
If applying online you’ll be directed to our eBiz web site. Once there:
- Create an account
- Select the “Health Care Licensing” tab
- Select “Apply for license”
- Agree to the terms
- Select “Emergency Care Providers” from the drop down box
- Select level of licensure you are applying for, EMR, EMT, AEMT or Paramedic
- Follow the steps for completing the application including uploading documents
- Pay for your application
