On January 1, 2026, SB 319 of the 2025 Montana Legislative Session became effective. The bill created the Montana Doula Program, an act requiring licensure of doulas and establishing doula licensure requirement and scope of practice.  On this page, you will find all information pertinent to the program.  Specifically, on the banner to the left, you will find links to current program statutes, rules, and rule notices.  The blue buttons above provide direct links to our online application portal (Accela.com) as well license verification sites and our customer service survey.  We are currently working to provide further information on license requirements and answers to your frequently asked questions.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
