Montana Board of Sanitarians

The board consists of five members appointed by the governor with the consent of the senate. Each member must be a resident of this state, and three of the members must be registered sanitarians. Two members must be from the public but not sanitarians and shall represent the interests of the public at large. Each sanitarian member must have a minimum of 3 years of experience practicing as a sanitarian in the state of Montana. Members serve staggered 3-year terms that expire on July 1, of a given year.
